Let me preface this article by saying that we are a little embarrassed the way they overdramatized our life. We really only experienced 1 tragedy, and that was losing Noah. The Hurricane put us on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, the oil spill was a road bump and we got through it much better than a lot of others. After seeing what happened in Japan with the earthquake and tsunami, I can hardly call some of what we have went through tragedies. They did do a nice job of writing the article …Read the full entry »
The journey to finding an RV to replace the Cruisemaster is complete. We have in our possession a 1995 Roadtrek 210 Popular. The day we finally got to pick it up from the seller and drive it made me very nervous. I had only seen it in pictures and it looked a little rough in them but perfect to restore without spending much. In one of the images, the duct tape I saw securing the external a/c vents had scared me about what the rest …Read the full entry »

The large amount of oil that washed on shore June 23 had just marred the coastline. Randy Hamilton spots the sandal, captures a photo and files it in his archives as specimen 359. Just another lost shoe for his collection of forgotten footwear photos, but this one is different. It speaks to yet another crisis in his land and in his life.
Hamilton still remembers …

Recently I submitted a letter to the editor after reading an article about shoes washing up in Vancouver with feet still in them. (here is a link to the lost sole blog entry I wrote where I copied the article into the bottom)
Of course it struck a cord with me so I wrote a letter to the editor. To my surprise a neighbor informed me about seeing my name in a magazine recently, and remembered it was Outside Magazine. I immediately went home and searched through my issue and …

Recently I have been doing a lot of search engine ranking research and want to see if I can get higher up in the searches involving the keywords lost soles and lost shoes so I am creating this gallery for that purpose. Let’s see if it works! I must admit though, this is not the best way to view the collection. These photos do not have the location or date listed with them like the interactive map of the lost soles. Like I said, I created this page specifically to …Read the full entry »
