“Recently Sharon and I have come across the charity organization, The Lost Soles Foundation. Early in 2006 we had teamed up with the Charity Shoes that Fit, and were unable to help them out much so it lost steam. Well now that the One Shoe Diaries has gained national attention and has a line of merchandise titled The Lost Soles it seemed a great time to locate a new charity to help out. After searching the internet we came across a perfect fit, Lost Soles. The plan is to gain exposure and donations for them through merchandise and book sales, also from straight donations given online or at One Shoe Diaries exhibitions. Here is a brief overview of the charity, with more to be found on their evolving website. We are very excited about this collaboration. Please take a moment and check them out, Thanks for your time.”

The Lost Soles Foundation Mission:
We want each soul in Darfur to know the world cares about them. That their souls are not lost. The Lost Soles Foundation pursues a global awareness for the genocide occurring in the Darfur Region of the Sudan, Africa. Since thousands of African farmers wake up and run for their lives from one refugee camp to another due to the Janjaweed's systematic murdering of their people, we believe that by providing them something as simple as a pair of shoes we can add a layer of protection and happiness in their lives. We're hoping this will evolve from a local pursuit to a state and become a nationally recognized vision for world peace.
"The Lost Soles gives me the opportunity to group hug Darfur. We're more than a wink or blowing a kiss, we're about the healing power of touching them, hopefully reaching down into their soul."
